Common Name: Stromanthe Triostar

Stromanthe, a member of the Marantaceae family (cousin to Marantas), have beautifully patterned foliage that can elevate your urban jungle homes. Native to Brazilian rainforest and striking colorful variegation with purple undersides leaves.

The cool thing about Stromanthe is that they have highly photosensitive leaves. Their leaves lay flat in the morning to absorb sunlight and fold up in the evening. They have the similar behavior as the Maranta.

• Lovers of humidity
• Sensitive to mineralized water (use filtered or distilled)
• Medium to bright (indirect light)
• Water when top 1 inch of soil is dry
