At Urban Sprouts, we believe plants have a way of bringing people together. They're a reason to slow down, get curious, try something new, and connect with the world around us.

Since opening in 2015, we've grown from a specialty plant shop into a creative, community-focused space offering plants, flowers, workshops, plant care services, and hands-on experiences. There's a lot happening here, and it takes a thoughtful, motivated, and collaborative team to make it all work.

We're an independently owned small business, which means our team members get to be part of more than a single job description. We value people who are curious, resourceful, willing to learn, and excited to contribute to something they're proud of.

What It's Like to Work Here

Working at Urban Sprouts means variety. One day you might be helping someone choose their first houseplant, preparing flowers, or recommending the perfect gift. Another day might involve helping someone troubleshoot a plant problem, preparing materials for a terrarium workshop, or refreshing the shop for a new season.

We love what we do, but we're also a real working retail business. There's merchandise to stock, plants to care for, customers to help, and plenty of details that keep everything running smoothly.

Current Opportunities

Part-Time Retail Sales Specialist

We're looking for an outgoing, dependable, sales-minded person to join our team at our downtown Renton shop.

This role focuses on proactively engaging customers, making product recommendations, and helping people discover everything Urban Sprouts has to offer. Responsibilities also include plant care, merchandising, flower processing, shop upkeep, and supporting our creative workshops and other activities.

• Approximately 10–15 hours per week, with potential for additional hours

• Saturday and Sunday availability required, with flexibility for occasional weekday shifts

• $23–$26 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips

• Potential to grow into a shift-lead role over time

Plant knowledge isn't required. We'll train the right person!
