Fiddle Leaf Figs are an old favorite for many plant parents, and it's considered a must-have plant for any collection. The "Little Sunshine" is the dwarf version of the Fiddle Leaf Fig we all know and love, making it that much more accessible for people who don't have the space for the full sized version.
Fiddle Leaf Figs grow straight up in a tree-like fashion, putting out its signature huge leaves all the way. The leaves are very solid and feel inflexible, and they're shaped sort of like violins - hence the name!
Lighting: Bright, indirect light.
Water: Keep the soil damp, but not wet. Water all the way through once it starts to dry, and make sure none of the water sits in the pot for too long.
Soil/Potting: Plant in a well draining soil in a container with a drainage hole and made of slightly porous material like ceramic or sealed concrete. Repot annually or when plant exhibits discoloration without the presence of any mis-watering habits.
Fertilize: Monthly with bacterial inoculant recommended for steady growth and to promote richer coloration in the foliage.
Temperature: Room temp (60-85 degrees is ideal), protect from harsh fluctuations in temperature particularly in the winter. This plant is sensitive to temperature shock caused by moving air, so don't place near any vents or in the air flow of doors that open frequently.
Toxicity: Unsafe for consumption in pets and humans.
