Learn the art of Bonsai in our fun and informative beginner bonsai workshop!
In this hands on class you will learn everything you'll need to train and maintain bonsai trees. Plus you'll take home a bonsai you've trained, potted and decorated yourself in class!
Chose from a selection of bonsai between 3 and 10 years old. Learn and practice the essentials of bonsai including pre and post care, root trimming, and branch training to create a truly unique tree! You'll then plant, secure and decorate your bonsai using our
wide selection of mosses, ground covers, companion plants, crystals, props, and decorative gravels to customize your creation.
What's included:
Your booking covers your instruction, substrates, use of tools, and training wire, plus a $10 credit to use towards your bonsai, vessel and other supplies used in your take home creation. We offer a wide range of bonsai trees, vessels and decorative elements to choose from. The size, scale and complexity of your project is up to you! In this workshop most will spend and additional $50 - 200 on their projects.
For public workshops we ask that participants not bring materials from home. Have a vessel you'd like to use? Book the terrarium bar for a 1:1 session with an instructor to help you make a one of a kind creation.
We do ask that one project be made per reservation as class sizes are limited. If 2 people would like to attend the class and make one project, an additional $35 instructor fee will be applied at checkout.
