1/18 @ 2:00 Shrimp Aquarium Workshop

Curious about keeping freshwater shrimp? Join us at Urban Sprouts for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to create a planted aquarium designed to support these fascinating little creatures.

Our instructors will walk you through the basics of building a shrimp-friendly aquatic ecosystem as you create your own planted water garden. We’ll explore plant selection, aquarium setup, and the details that help create a healthy environment for your shrimp. No pumps required!

We’ll have several species of miniature freshwater shrimp to choose from, so you can add the finishing touch to your aquarium and bring your new creation home.

Your reservation covers the class fee and instruction. Aquarium supplies, plants, and shrimp are purchased separately during the workshop. You decide how much you’d like to spend, with most builds ranging from $100–$300.

Come learn something new, get your hands wet, and create a living aquarium of your own!

All workshops take place at our shop in downtown Renton on South 3rd Street (next to Boon Boona).

Please do not bring materials from home. If you have a vessel or plant you'd like to use for a terrarium, schedule a time at our activity bar instead!
