Aglaonema are among my personal favorite plants for beginners and for lower light spaces. Not only are the members of this genus beautiful to look at, they are also low maintenance, forgiving of care errors, and grow well even in very low natural lighting conditions!
The Lady Valentine cultivars are particularly stunning and coveted members of this genus. As younglings their leaves are rather unassuming, growing in green in a upright growth pattern. However, as they age brilliant pink spots begin to appear and then cover more of the leaves surfaces as the plant matures! Aglaonema of any variety are ideal plants for spaces with lower light or for caretakers with a more hands off approach. But the Lady Valentine is particularly rewarding because of its flashy coloring.
