Midnight Weeping Fig is a gorgeous tree-like indoor plant that grows up to eight feet with very regular and easy care, making it the perfect addition to any part of the home that needs that touch of jungle.
The main attraction of this plant is the overall pleasing shape of the thin trunk and lush, vibrant canopy, and you can even grow it in desired forms by shaping the trunk with obstacles as it grows. The leaves are an untextered medium green and the trunk is a light, sandy brown.
Lighting: Bright indirect light.
Water: Does not like to dry out, but does not like to be kept constantly moist. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings and make sure the soil is draining properly. Once a week watering is a fairly normal routine with this plant.
Soil/Potting: Plant in a well draining soil in a container with a drainage hole and made of slightly porous material like ceramic or sealed concrete. Repot annually or when plant exhibits discoloration without the presence of any mis-watering habits.
Fertilize: Monthly with bacterial inoculant recommended for steady growth and to promote richer coloration in the foliage.
Temperature: Room temp (55-85 degrees is ideal), protect from harsh fluctuations in temperature particularly in the winter. Do not place near vents, doors, or other areas with frequent air flow.
Toxicity: This plant is toxic to humans and pets.
