Prayer Plant 'Lemon Lime'
Maranta, or prayer plants, make up a collection of unique and beautifully decorated patterns and behaviors. This variety here is commonly known as “Lemon Lime”, but its full name is Maranta leuconeura 'Marisela'. Did you know that Maranta leaves move throughout the day? You will see the leaves lay flat to collect as much sunshine as it can during the day, but at night they will pull their leaves up, resembling praying hands! Maranta plants like a medium to bright indirect light, for their soil to dry just to the touch or up to about one half inch deep below the surface between waterings, and regular fertilizing. In most homes they would appreciate some regular misting as well.
