Never Never 'Grey Star' Plant
A personal favorite! The Ctenanthe setosa is also known as a “never never plant”. They are members of the Marantaceae family, along with its other beautiful-leaved cousins Stromanthe, Maranta, and Calathea. This particular variety is one fo the most robust and fast-growing members of the Ctenanthe genus.
Did you know the species name setosa relates to the “bristly or hairy” leaf stems (petioles) and new growth? This fuzzy feature is an easy way to identify the plant.
