Club Moss 'Peacock'
The common name of peacock club moss (also called rainbow moss) refers to the striking iridescent blue color of the new growth. It is a brilliant shimmering blue-green that looks a lot like the bright blue found in some butterfly wings. Most blue plants are a dusty color blue and the coloration has to do with an outer waxy deposit on the leaves. The blue color on this plant is not caused by a wax deposit on the leaf, but the way the plant refracts light.
