Cast Iron Plant
Here at the shop much of our customer service team has a big ol’ crush on these fabulous nearly indestructible beauties! Aspidistra have been awarded the common name Cast Iron because of their ability to be easily restored even after pretty severe abuse.
Cast iron plants grow from thick tuberous roots (much like a snake plant) that store water and nutrients for the plant in even the toughest of times. Your cast iron plant can live in just about any indirect light condition (even very low), and needs very infrequent watering! If something does go wrong the foliage can just be cut down and fresh new growth will promptly replace it!
